为了活跃学生课外学习生活、激发学生创作热情、夯实学生数理基础、拓宽学生知识视野，北京邮电大学在2005年9月成立数理创新实践基地。

数理创新实践基地专门负责组织指导本科生开展数学、物理等偏理科类学术研究及创新实践活动，组织学生参加数学、物理等各类学科竞赛，开展相关竞赛的培训，同时承担数学、物理等领域的实践教学工作。。

     本创新实践基地有专门的实验室——北京邮电大学“数学建模与数学实验”实验室。实验室在师资、实验室设备配置、图书资料等方面均努力为学员营造优越的学习条件和创新性研究氛围，实验室配备先进的实验设备、丰富的图书资料，以及一支高效敬业的指导教师团队。

     特别，本实验室在2014年被评为北京高等学校示范性校内创新实践基地。

     实验室组织的学科竞赛活动有高等数学竞赛、大学物理竞赛、大学物理实验竞赛、全国大学生数学建模竞赛、国际大学生数学建模竞赛等五项，在近些年来，北京邮电大学的学生连续保持着骄人的参赛成绩。基地组建了包括数学建模、数值计算及程序设计、创新物理实验等本科生课外科技创新实践小组，长期开展活动。

     Introduction to Innovation Laboratory of Mathematics and Physics in BUPT

  Innovation Laboratory of Mathematics and Physics in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) was established in September 2005，with the purpose of providing a platform for undergraduates to enrich extracurricular life, stimulate creativity, tamp foundation of mathematics and physics, and broaden horizons.

  The laboratory is dedicated to guiding undergraduates in academic researches and innovative practice activities in the area of mathematics and physics, organizing students to participate in various academic competitions and offering relevant training.

The laboratory is well equipped with computing and modeling instruments as well as scientific books. What’s more, a professional team of advisors working here make the laboratory full of vigor and creativity.

  We organize a variety of academic contests such as Advanced Mathematics Contest, College Physics Contest, College Physics Contest in Experiment, Contemporary Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling(CUMCM), International Mathematical Contest in Modeling, etc. In recent years, students in BUPT have had remarkable performances in these activities. There are several research groups, majoring in mathematical modeling, numerical computing & programming and physical experiment designing, studying continuously in the laboratory.
